 During our recent trip to Alaska, we visited the vegetable gardens at Palmer, just outside of Anchorage. Because the area receives 20 hours of sunlight during the summer, the cool-season vegetables, especially cabbage, grow large and fast and are among the biggest in the world. Enjoy the pictures and culture of this unique spot and visit Palmer if you ever have the chance. We won't forget it!
