Placing The Rocks
We have found that in very high winds (50 m.p.h.+) the black plastic can lift or tear when the garden is first planted in spring if we use only the sand tubes and the walkways. So we have some rocks of various sizes that we place in the garden to anchor the plastic. We place them between the garden rows and they don't interfere with the plants in the least. When you first lay down your black plastic, anchor them with the larger rocks first.
