Humidity
We have found that the best way to preserve humidity is to use plastic trays that have clear plastic covers on them, which, in our opinion, is the only way to go. We normally wait until the seeds have their second set of leaves, known as the true leaves (the first set are the seed leaves which store food for the seedling) until we remove the plastic covers. By this time the seedlings can survive by watering only and not the intense humid conditions that the plastic cover creates. Remember that too much humidity promotes the growth of fungus, so you dont want to leave the clear plastic covers on your seed trays for too long of a time.
