2004 - Corkie loved to eat fresh garden vegetables. Here Robin is feeding him his favorite veggie, a fresh pea pod. |
2004 - To keep Corkie cool in the summer we would take him into his groomer for a Summer Shave. Afterwords, he looked like a little lamb. All of the neighbors would laugh when they saw Corkie with his coat shaved off. |

2004 - Corkie with a summer shave and his favorite toy. If the toy had a squeaker in it, he immediately destroyed the squeaker in less than one minute. |

2004 - Besides peas, he loved vegetables fresh from our veggie garden. Here Corkie is licking his chops waiting for Robin to give him a garden treat. |

2005 - This is one of Bills favorite pictures of Robin and Corkie. Robin grew marigolds in an attempt to keep the bunny rabbits away. |

2005 - We always tried to come up with unusual pictures for the web site. Here Bill has Corkie sticking out of his sweat shirt so people would laugh. |
2005 - Corkie in front of the marigolds with a ball next to him. Corkie was obsessed with the ball and would play with it for hours. |
2005 - Corkie loved to play with his toys, of which Robin and Bill bought lots and lots them! Here was Mr. Bear, which lasted about one month. Notice the bandana around his neck, supplied by his life-long groomer, Patti the Groomer. |

2006 - Corkie never really liked to take a bath but sometimes he would smell so bad that we had no choice. Look at his eyes: if Bill wasnt his master, he would have bitten his hand off! |
2006 - Corkie loved to sit by the garden and have his tummy and ears rubbed. |

Friday, November 24th, 2006. Corkie just got back from his groomer when we took these last two pictures. Corkie had been diagnosed with cancer several months before and we could tell at this time that he wasnt going to live much longer. Bill is trying to fake a smile but is very worried about his dog. Right up to the end, Corkie was a good trooper.
On Saturday, we knew that Corkie didnt have much more time to live so we invited all of the neighbors to say good-by to him. They all loved him.
Corkie died late Sunday evening, November 26th, 2006 at 6:40 p.m. He was 11 1/2 years old. Both Robin and Bill were petting him when he passed away; we both cried.
His owners, the neighbors and all viewers to our web site all agree that Corkie was one of the nicest, kindest and most gentle dogs that ever lived. He was the hit of the neighborhood, the web site and everybody who knew him loved him.
We will all miss you, Corkie
