Simple Greenhouse

With the wet and cold weather we are having in the Midwest, we always find ways to get our seeds planted. An easy way is to make a makeshift greenhouse using a piece of heavy clear plastic. It keeps the seeds warm and prevents the soil from getting too overly wet from all the heavy rains.

Simple GreenhouseMaterials Needed:

Row of heavyweight clear plastic
Weights - long poles, wood or rocks
Measuring tape
Scissors

Instructions:

1) Plant your seeds in rows and water if soil is dry.

2) Measure out the area and cut a piece of plastic the size of the area. Weigh down plastic with wood or heavy rocks.

3) Take plastic off on very hot sunny days and water if needed. Check daily. Before you know it your seeds will be sprouting!
