Ray's Rabbit Trap

Ray's Rabbit Trap

Materials Needed:

Pine lumber
Screws
Metal "U" nails
!/2" metal screening (not chicken wire)
5/8" bar stock
Metal coat hanger
5 1/2" metal spring
Eye screws
Brass tubing
Nails
1/4" plywood
Brown gloss house paint
Nuts and bolts


Instructions:

Cut pieces as shown in illustration A. Assemble cross-support pieces to bottom of trap as shown. Glue and screw to bottom of trap.

Assembling Rabbit Trap Base

Cut pieces as shown in illustration B. Glue and screw upper support pieces as shown.
Note: You may have to use long nails on bottom pieces.

Assembly & Placement Of Screws

Cut support pieces as shown in illustration C. Fashion support pieces as shown. Glue front pieces, attached with small nails only. Use screws and glue on back cross supports. Paint trap with two to three coats of brown paint.

Attaching Supports

Bend metal screening around trap as shown in illustration D. Attach metal screening using metal "U" nails. Hammer "U" nails across all edges of screening. Attach back metal screening with "U" nails.
Note: Do not use staples or a staple gun.
