Bean or Pea Picking Container and Water Bottle Holder

Materials Needed: Empty clean plastic gallon milk bottle Rope or pants belt Scissors Exacto knife Black permanent marker

Instructions:

1) Mark the bottle with the marker as shown in illustration A.

2) Cut along the marker line with either the knife or scissors. (The first cut doesn’t need to be accurate; you can go back and trim the edges later with the scissors)

3) Run a rope or the belt through the handle and tie the bottle around your waist. Now, both of your hands are free for picking your beans or peas in your garden!

Water Bottle Holder

Materials Needed:

Same as above except use a half gallon milk bottle

Instructions:

1) Mark the bottle with the marker as shown in Illustration B.

2) Follow the instructions as above. You may need to trim more of the bottle top to allow the water bottle to fit in the milk bottle holder.
